Landscape Art Through the Ages

This course will take you on a march through Western Landscape depiction, discussing the varying attitudes towards landscape painting over the centuries and covering work from 17th Century through to 21st Century. During the three talks Melanie Paice will discuss key artists from Claude, Turner and Monet to artists who explore and address the landscape through Sculpture, Photography and their own journeys such as Richard Long and Andy Goldsworthy.

The course is led by Melanie Paice, Artist and Art Lecturer. Melanie has lectured at Tate Modern, Dulwich Picture Gallery and Surrey Adult Learning, she teaches at South Hill Park and Riverhouse Gallery. Melanie has set up the Tours Programme for Tate Britain, Tate Modern and Freize Art Fair.
